Thank you for considering St Mary’s for yours or your child’s baptism. Our Baptism services are held on the 1st/ 3rd / 4th & 5th Sunday of the month at 12.30.
Baptism is a response to God’s love, a desire and a commitment to respond to God’s call to follow the example of Jesus Christ. It is also a celebration, a time to come together with family and friends; remembering that you are loved by God, are part of a wider community and have a place with God’s people.
Thanksgiving for the Gift of a Child Service
This service is different to a traditional baptism. It is designed to meet the needs of parents who see this as either a preliminary to Baptism; or may not wish their child to be baptised immediately, or do not want a baptism but recognise that something has happened for which they wish to give thanks to God.
